What a weekend to have... First our hockey team wins the Stanley Cup in Detroit in game 7, ( we cannot forget my beloved Steelers winning the Super Bowl ), then I received the most sensational pedicure today that words cannot express, and lastly I leave for San Diego tomorrow for two months ( it is my summer vacation ). What can I possibly say? I promise to keep an updated version of my blog, I have been lazy about this, I apologize. I may even add pictures too. But for now I must finish the packing routine and make sure I have everything... Bye for now...Saturday, June 13, 2009

great fit....

It is early Sunday morning and I am about to takeoff for my walk and pound the pavement while listening to all sorts of fast moving music and go through random thoughts in my head. But the one thought I know I will smile about it what happened to me last night while I went shopping! I just cannot stop thinking about it, and it makes me smile too. Hopefully your sitting down and brace yourselves... gentlemen readers I apologize but this could benefit you as well but not in the same sense as it would my female readers. I was properly fitted for a bra. Yes, that is a big deal and the girls are loving every minute of it. The word by the bra gods is that you should be fitted every 6 months or so, because your body changes and the girls go with it as well. Also did you know that you should adjust your straps every time you wash your bra? I would wash, dry and go... what was I thinking? Never mind we won't go there. Now, some are saying what is the big deal? And I am about to tell you.. there is a lot to be said about wearing the right fitting bra. The girls are where they are suppose to be , not that they were any where else but there before, the straps lay right and everything seems to be coming up roses or boobies... The lady that fitted me yesterday had such a boring evening until I came in. By the end of the fitting, she and a few other ladies said we should all go out for dinner and probably would have a great time! Well, anyone who lets a number of females in a dressing room to adjust , pinch and tug would be a good time. All in all the evening was a success and it feels great!!!!!

choices vs. karma

"I am the owner of my karma .
I inherit my karma.
I am born of my karma.
I am related to my karma.
I live supported by my karma.
Whatever karma I create, whether good or evil, that I shall inherit."
Two of my personal favorite reasons to believe in karma, are that it represents ultimate justice as everyone will harvest the results of their actions, and even if karma would not exist, as long as I try to avoid negative actions, the world would be a better place to live in for everyone anyway.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.
Just as falling drops of water will fill a large container, The little virtues that steadfast accumulate will completely overwhelm you.
Karma is not something complicated or philosophical. Karma means watching your body, watching your mouth, and watching your mind.Trying to keep these three doors as pure as possible is the practice of karma.
There is something to be said about positive thinking. I am at the point in my life that I need to have some releases, make new changes and go for the betterment of myself - mentally, physically and emotionally. I know in my heart the mistakes I have made and what the cost I had to endure with those mistakes in mind. But why do I , why do we, make the same mistakes when we know the end result? People do not change, we change our thought processes to make it fit the current situation. Okay, yes we learn from our past mistake but do we really? Is that when the change comes in hand to fit the situation?
I know it seems to you reading this I may be talking in circles... I am to a point. This is how I battle and work things out. I am an OVER thinker... the explanation will come soon...

Love is like a puzzle. When you're in love, all the pieces fit but when your heart gets broken, it takes a while to get everything back together. ~Author Unknown
What happens when the puzzle is broken and your placing all the pieces back into its proper connection and then you realize that a piece is missing or held hostage. What do you do? Start a new puzzle? wait for the original piece is given back or given up?
So much to write and yet I do not know where to begin. Did I have my heart broken recently? No, I don't think so... but yet the feeling is there. Why do I care so much? Why do I give so much and try to be that wonderful person? What is the end result of all the good nature things I hold dear inside my heart? Just something to ponder and I will continue in the morning... it is late.

A random post by me...
Sitting at the festival at school selling tickets for the basket raffle I watched many kids running around without parents, many parents running around without kids and tons of money flying around. Give me twenty dollars in tickets, and why can't I put tickets on those baskets?, along with I have to put my name on ALL of these tickets? were the common questions of the evening. I responded with a thank you, the baskets behind you are for the silent auction and yes, if you plan on not staying until 8:30 when the drawing will take place, then please write your name and phone number on the tickets before you drop them in the bags. Many eyes rolled back, a couple sighs and bewildered looks but all in all a good evening. I didn't get to do much people watching but then again I know the people and watch them at various events.
Now, at the hockey game on Friday, the Pens verses the Flyers, there was many to watch. Let's start with the gaggles of people walking to sit on the lawn outside Mellon arena to watch the game on the giant screen. The chairs propped just so on their shoulders, the wagons being pulled behind them with coolers, boxes of food and a hoagie or two kept down with w bungee cord and sometimes I did even see a child or two parked in the wagon strolling past to enjoy the game outside int he nice spring evening weather. I understand the whole concept of the players and fans concentrating and grooming "PLAY OFF BEARDS", cute concept and traditional. But when two girls walk by and are proudly wearing their make shift "playoff beards" one has to ask WHY? Why not flaunt what you have, maybe "play off boobs"? If you normally wear a bra, don't for the course of the play offs, if you don't normally wear a bra then do and show the girls what it is like to sit up high. It would be like a birds eye view for some! And now tot he stilettos heels in bright yellow. I understand dressing in the team colors BUT stiletto heels that wrap around your ankles, and shorts that is hardly even there. Save your self and a few cotton plants, just paint your body black and yellow and call it a play off mural. No one sees the heels, or the shorts as a matter of fact, the shorts can hardly be seen on your body because your purse is larger than life and you... But all in all people do their own thing and I guess that is good. Original , we are and yes, I am deep in thought!
I am thinking about the whole "pay it forward" concept. What to do? Where to begin? Do I buy the guy behind em a beer at the next hockey playoff game? How about the random table at the next restaurant, do I take care of the tip? Driving around there are lots of things to do. Where does on start? Any ideas?
P.S. -- Slyde- your safe, no need to worry!!!! xoxoxo

time flies...
Boy, time does fly by quickly... I have 31 days of school left, and I am starting to make my lists for vacation. Which by the way will come by quickly also, June 14th. Things have been good. I turned 40 on Good Friday and I am still able to smile without any wrinkles... although I suspect a baby one starting just for the shits and giggles of it. But I will be the winner int he battle of the skin fold. School is winding down and I must say this years kids are growing on me. All in all they are good kids, it is the parents that are nuts. But you cannot pick your parents so we will see how they turn out down the road. My Pens are in the playoffs and we will watch and hope top see where this leads us this year. Losing out last year at the near end was heart breaking , but it happens. The football schedule came out today and those of you that know me, can't make a post without mentioning football, with a large cheesy smile!
Maybe I was on a blog break? But then it was pointed out to me in previous comments, I am always on a blog break. My computer crashed a week ago and so I was left without one in the evening, my best blogging time. The weather is starting to perk up, may hit the 70's this weekend. Hooray!!!!
